Summary of Receipt

35 makes it clear that 53 can’t just throw a net on Cheesman, since they’re ghost-like and can phase through the net. He suspects that the many different possibilities of Cheesman’s Plane are due to Mr. Bartlett and his Dover Lights again.

No, you absolutely can not just "throw a net" at them. You can and will be scratched and bitten if you try to throw a net at them. They can also phase through the netting and most likely any Flipside item we might try and put them in. So we need a different (better) plan. Though I also don't know much about Cryptids myself, so I'm not sure what that plan might be. I spent most of my time in the third Cafe doing admin work, and only recently, I've gotten into Ghost hunting. And while Mrs. Cheesman sort of acts like a Ghost, she certainly is not one.

However, maybe she is? Or… is one for a certain amount of time? We were following the Dover Lights back from the Last Frontier, and we know the Dover Lights can "alter" the state of a customer. So maybe that's why Mrs. Cheesman is able to phase through things like a Ghost would. Because, otherwise, that's a fairly unique trait for a Cryptid to have. So, while it isn't much of a plan to actually deal with Mrs. Cheesman, I think I'm going to shift focus towards collecting data about the Dover Lights and see if I can't spot them here.

Considering how aggressive Mrs. Cheesman was towards us, we still need to serve her. I just wouldn't know how. I could try to use Ghost hunting techniques, but these alterations seem to last only for a few seconds. We might need help from an actual cryptid expert on this one. Maybe… No. 4 could help? I know it'd take a bit to get up here from Florida, but No. 53 can probably keep Mrs. Cheesman occupied until then. In the meantime, I'll start collecting some data on the Dover Lights.
