Great. Now I have to get all of the Langleys together. Just what I love. Doing more work than is required. Oh well. It shouldn’t be too bad. I’m sure Purson will be more than willing to grant Enoch and Antoinette a temporary leave. Leviathan’s also a pushover. The only really tricky ones will be Jethro and Lazarus. Sure, I could just take them… but that would violate the Soul Accord, and I’m not in the mood to mess with that. Even with my brother encased in gold, there would be hell to pay if I stole one of his souls. Of course, the Soul Accord is only between us and not our children… While I do hate having to do work, I do love delegating.
As for the missing Langleys, I’ve been trying to get in touch with Magdalena, but I haven’t heard from her yet. That could be concerning, or it could be nothing. It’s not like I keep a close watch on where any of my witches are, especially the non-Augur witches. Magdalena is a special case, and we have a healthy working agreement to not bother each other. It’s more than possible she’s simply ignoring me in good faith. Usually, I would ignore her too. And as for Ursula, I have even less of an idea where she might be as she is not one of my witches. But I’m leaving that up to the other Cafes to work out.
Well, I am mostly leaving it to the other Cafes. I have also brought it up before the Order of the Eternal Snakes. Perhaps a drastic measure… but something about what Malachi said has me especially concerned. No. Everything Malachi said has me concerned. Though, I’d rather leave it in the hands of the Order than try and puzzle out the specifics myself. Again, it could be nothing. It probably is nothing. Malachi always has grand visions of demise. They just don’t normally involve my mother.
