Summary of Receipt
Mr. White has, in exchange for the CaD retrieving the Blight Runes, obtained the Augur Stone from Umbra. Unfortunately, Umbra likely has something even worse planned - or just doesn't need it anymore. The first steps to mass hysteria seems to have begun. With that, the deal between Mr. White and the CaD has ended, so he'll be heading up to collect his other possessions. Mr. White also allowed them to hold onto the Blight Runes for now, so they'll experiment and see how they work.

As always, Mr. White comes through, no? As promised, we retrieve the Blights Runes, and he has somehow pried the Augur Stone from Umbra’s shadowy grasp. I spoke with him briefly, and I believe it was returned without much issue from Umbra. This leads me to believe that Umbra has something much worse up his sleeves. That, or he has somehow learned how to replicate the powers of the Augur Stone. Or, I suppose, the damage has been done. Satan S.U.C.K.S.S. now has a stronger foothold in the schools, and the first stages of full-fledged mass hysteria have been planted.
And with that, our business with Mr. White has come to an end. Considering his current situation, I doubt he’ll be able to help us again—failing another cosmic coincidence. Though fate is like poetry, no? It more than often tends to rhyme. At the very least, Mr. White has confirmed that none of his other cursed possessions should be in southern California. However, there are a few scattered around Nevada and Oregon, which could potentially be a problem for us down the road. How he manages to keep track of his remaining 145 objects, I do not know.
I am… concerned that Mr. White might have tipped his hand too much in retrieving the Augur Stone from Umbra. Umbra is a very opportunistic shadow that, to my knowledge, is always on the lookout for objects to expand his power and influence. Of course, while we are on good terms with Mr. White, I imagine he is also on good terms with Umbra. A good salesman doesn’t pick sides. Though, I do appreciate Mr. White allowing us to hold onto the Blight Runes for the time being. Though, understanding how they work—safely—will take a few weeks at least.
