fr he is so cool. when i grow up to be a 300 year old man i want to be as weird as he is. and as it turns out (though we all probably could have guessed this) i am indeed an augur! well i guess everyone is at least a little bit of an augur but im like a big time augur! well smaller time augur than like manager no. 1 but stiiilllll on the noticeable scale of augurism. what the heck even is an augur?? basically its like a person who hit a speed bump on their scooter, scrapped their knee, and now have wicked scar. but the scooter is life, the speed bump is fate, and the scar is cool ass glowing magenta eyes. i am living the ya novel dream right now.
abner was actually really surprised i had gotten as far as i had without any formal training. like even for augurs its hard to tap into their second sight without a viewing medium and me??? im just blasting that out in my freaking mind! ok. yes. it did almost cause me to go blind and mad... but hey... thats just augur business baby. and not only can augurs use their powers to dip into second sight and foresight and things like that you can also use it to find people! and i think you know where this is going...
me and abner have been trying to augur scry where mr. malachi langley is at. hes apparently known as the """hermit""" langley and has only spoken to abner and solomon about 10 times in the past 250 or so years. malachi, like abner, is also an augur. but if im like a small sized augur, no. 1 is like a medium sized augur, abner is a large sized augur, malachi is DOUBLE TRIPLE MEGA XL. like he is the most auguryist augur abner has ever seen. and those 10 times he got in touch? those were only to warn them about impending catastrophic events. apparently its earned him the nickname of the doomsday dog which i think is kinda cute.
besides just doomsday dog we also need to find maggie and ursula. maggie is apparently tricky to track down because she decided to have a very public career which ended after people started to notice that she was staying in her 20s for a lonnnnng time. and ursula... might be dead. apparently she has always been extremely accident prone. the only reason shes still alive is thanks to enchantments wards and protections solomon has placed on her over the years.
