Summary of Receipt
Manager 6 reminds the CaD that they’ve only got three options: Let Manager 4 die, get him to drink from Miss. Augustine, or send her back to Eden. The last option, while theoretically the best, would unseal Eden - of which Augustine is just one monster - and play directly into Fate’s plans. Their only hope to take another way now lies with Bartlett and his dimensional-warping powers.

A dead man lying face down with ten swords plunged into his back. The water and sky are calm and still. It is a final, painful, and serene ending. The battle has passed, and the soldier is dead and departed. Unfortunately, our Other Hour is drawing near at hand. The cards, and by extension Fate, are clear in this matter. We either let No. 4 die or No. 4 drinks from the forbidden well of Augustine. I know we have our alternatives in place, but Fate has its plans, and they are very hard to defy, especially when we are down to the final five days.
However, there is another Hour, one that I had left out of my earlier reading. The World. Eden. The lost Eighth Plane of the Otherside. Domain of Eve and the splendors and horrors of the fruits of knowledge. So, now our options are, either drink from the Cup, fall on our Swords, or open up a new World. Unsealing Eden, of course, opens our Cycle up to whatever may rest within. Considering Miss. Augustine is but one resident of Eden; well, I think it is clear that we are playing a dangerous game.
See, releasing Satan is one thing. While some of the Courts might find it distasteful, he is of our Cycle ultimately and is part of the grander cosmic balance. However, opening Eden is far, far, FAR, beyond releasing an imprisoned Prince. We have no idea why it was sealed in the first place. And now Fate has us right where it wants us, and it wants us to open Eden. We can’t drink from the Cup, and none of us want No. 4 to take the Swords. So, perhaps the World is all that’s left.
Though… Dover’s unique powers might just allow him to pull an extra card at the true seventh hour.
Peace, Love, Hope, and Joy, my loves.
