Summary of Receipt

Employee 611 briefs the CaD one last time before they fight Ojai the next day. Basically while 44B was trying to stop Astoria from tangling with Muriel/Abaddon and destroying the Otherside, Manager 1 was handling Ojai, who was pissed at them since the CaD had killed Satan, her master. Still, there are some questions - how did she come back? why now? and so on. They might have some time to talk to her before the CaD kills her, but still.

Well, tomorrow’s the day. The day we pay Miss. Ojai’s tab in full. Again. No doubt, she’s a dangerous customer who has earned her status as single. The last time the Cafe and Diner served Miss. Ojai was in 2003, at the second Cafe and Diner. While No. 44B was trying to keep Muriel from spilling the Salt and Pepper, No. 1 was busy keeping Miss. Ojai from smoking in the Cafe. Not only that, but Ojai was hellbent on lighting up the entire west coast. And between Muriel and Ojai, as I understand it, No. 1 had to make some unfortunate choices. Tragic choices.

See, Miss. Ojai was a devout follower of Padre Santos of the Open Doors Church. When Padre Santos went down South, Miss. Ojai wanted revenge. However, No. 1 was able to pay Miss. Ojai’s tab in full. Or so we thought. It’s entirely unclear how Miss. Ojai managed to open a new tab with us. Why would she wait 17 years to come back? And could she have possibly relocated from Ottawa to Quebec? Or is her reappearance tied to us inhabiting the church? So many questions, all of which I’m guessing will go unanswered after tomorrow.

I don’t think Miss. Ojai will be stopping by to chat. Though No. 35 did set up the Cafe in such a way, we might have a few minutes to try and ask her these questions. Though we’re all in agreement, no matter how interesting her gossip might be, she isn’t welcome here, and she has to go. If our service tomorrow is lacking or falls through, we’ll need to put the Cafe on high alert—neons might even need to go up. Even if she decides to dine and dash, we’ll ensure her tab is paid.
