Summary of Receipt
O.L. says she’s rusty in dealing with the paranormal, and that she has strange prophetic dreams (second vision?). Recently, the dreams have consisted of ‘horrid, dark, slithering, unearthly horrors from the depths of an endless ocean swirled and swashed in ink-black tides’ reaching for a cup of coffee. (The ocean probably refers to mayda, and the black tide is…well, the black tide).

CAFE AND DINER RECEIPT

A STRANGE PRESENCE CASE NO. 4
Were these receipts made for me? How delightful to be thought of in such ominous regard. I suppose a proper introduction is in order. It is certainly true that real names are dangerous in the coffee business. However, this is not my true name, so I don't mind sharing it with you all freely. I go by Octavia Lagrave. As I'm sure you all know by now, I have worked for previous Cafe and Diners before. As such, I am well acquainted with the art of brewing. Though, it has been a while since I've served coffee. As you can imagine, I'm quite rusty in many regards. Though I hope my extensive knowledge of the Otherside and its inhabitants will come in handy.
As for what called me to your newly opened Cafe and Diner, I have a unique gift. On occasion, I am prone to seemingly prophetic dreams. In fact, it is what originally sparked my interest in the paranormal, occult, and unknown. Recently my dreams have been plagued with horrid, dark, slithering, unearthly horrors from the depths of an endless ocean swirled and swashed in ink-black tides. And these unspeakable terrors from the depth all grasped towards the same thing, a single cup of diner coffee. Though dreams are not guarantees. I believe we should focus on the here-and-now.
Which would mean Mr. Perez, isn't that correct? I am sorry I wasn't clear on how to return him to his Infernal home. See, the Otherside and the Flipside are connected through thin imperceivable threads known as leylines, more commonly known as boundary lines. Occasionally these lines cross, tangle, and tear, opening a slight rift between this world and the next, allowing for all manner of creatures and demons to enter our reality. What causes boundary lines to tear is often extreme pressure from psychic events. This psychic residue often lingers, creating sites often referred to as "haunted" by the common masses. DeForest Park is such a place, and it is where I presume Mr. Perez snuck into the Flipside. Now, it is only a matter of finding the damaged boundary line and sending Mr. Perez back through it. There is no need to mend the broken boundary lines as that is often more trouble than it's worth, though we can stem the flow of paranormal entities by placing wards around the area.
