Something isn’t right. I mean, I know that obviously, something is wrong with Padre masquerading as a priest… but there’s something more sinister happening than what can be seen on the surface. I’ve heard of a fire-and-brimstone preacher before, but the imagery Padre Santos conjured was beyond hellish and vivid. It’s hard to explain, but it was sort of like my memory power. I got a rush of sensory pieces all at once though I didn’t drink any blood… at least not that I’m- oh. No. Wait. Transubstantiation. Except we haven’t been drinking the blood of Christ… we’ve been drinking the blood of Satan. Of course, my powers kicked in right after communion.
Well… Okay. So, I guess I should try and convey what I sensed. I definitely felt an intense rush of pure red-hot rage, wrath boiling over, a feeling that I was cheated out of something spectacular. But the anger was cut short by a soft perfume, delicate, ancient, earthy. But this smell only served to enrage me further. It boiled my blood that she would leave. Why aren’t we good enough? Or perhaps we are too good. That is why we are feared and locked away. Then my hands grew cold, and I could feel a rough metallic shape before me. As my wrath crept back in, the metal grew hot until I couldn’t bear to touch it anymore, but I couldn’t bring myself to move my hands away. The smell of burning flesh mixed with the odor of brimstone and the heat of wild flames. At this point, I was in a great deal of pain, both physical and emotional, so I closed my eyes, and all I could see in front of me was a massive black gate. When I tried to blink away the sinister imagery, the gate shifted to that of a stone wall covered in moss and ivy. The gate and the wall merged into one formless shape that broke into seven shimmering keys with each blink. And then, before I knew it, mass was over.
I don’t know if I looked out of place while I was experiencing that, but hopefully, my cover isn’t blown. Also… I think we need to try again. The memories… Satan’s memories… they’ll only get stronger the more blood I can drink. Though it raises the question, why is Satan transubstantiating his blood? Can he even do that? And is he doing that for everyone… or just me? As his powers return, I’m sure he’ll be able to figure out that I’m dead at some point. It’s only a matter of time. Well… I guess next weekend, right?
