Well—crap. I just got an urgent memo from Zver and the Freezer. All Indigo Organizations on high alert for a Universe Ending Disaster: The Kings of Roses have siphoned the Blood of the Universe and are nearing completion of the ritual to infuse the Demon population with corrupted Blood leading to an unrepairable break in the cycle of life and death. Yaksha has been studying the Kings of Roses methods for some time and is confident in their findings that the Kings of Roses are weeks, if not days, away from finding a “cure” to death. IRIS is doing what it can to detain the Kings, though they have fully sequestered themselves into an unreachable region of the Otherside. Ozhog placed the few Kings they were able to acquire into the Deep Freeze.

As for Astoria? As per usual, the Agency has been tasked with stopping the Blood ritual by any means necessary. I’m sure Alfa is deciding right now who she’ll send to do it. It could be us, could be Ampersand, could be Bravo and Hotel, could be all three. I imagine if the Shakas haven’t heard anything yet, Alfa has decided we don’t have what it takes to stop this cult. And maybe we don’t.

We’ve spent all this time messing around because you two want to fix her. That’s never how we’ve done things at the Freezer. We put all threats on ice, no questions asked. And Rune? She’s no better than any other world-ending Elder. She can’t be killed. I imagine she can’t really be harmed, either. So she needs to be put on ice or flushed—well, “spiked” in the Black Thorn. I know you guys knew her before she was trying to upend death itself, but you can’t let that cloud your judgment. You’re Shaka now. Act like it.
