I had not even uttered the first sentence before, lo and behold, Oakmoss appeared in a flash of slicing light. I suppose the terms of our agreement had slipped her mind as, should I have properly invoked them, it would have put the Daggers in a rather precarious position. Like I said earlier, the only way forward from pulling the pact on Oakmoss and Warden would be death or a place among the Daggers…
