As #26 mentioned yesterday, it seems our work here is not quite done. Though, I believe this new order is entirely unrelated to the prior one—except for the continued bumbling incompetence of that group of patrons. I suppose good coffee is hard to find in that vast emptiness they call a state. Regardless, they were hiding something. That much is certain. Why else would they withhold so many details on the comfort food they ordered? If I had to guess, they are somehow responsible for telling this rogue coffee slinger where Mr. Mayne could be found, though it’s not exactly much of a secret, eh?

Mr. Mayne is a well known customer of short stature from the Equality area. An odd one at that, as he always seems too wrapped up to enjoy a cup of coffee. By all accounts, he’s not quite all there, is he? You’d be forgiven to think he’s just an empty body with how little he tends to say or do. It’s hard to really say he’s much of a customer if he can’t be bothered to patronize. Perhaps he is simply a very, very meditative man. Though with how little he moves—well, he might just end up as a sokushinbutsu.

As for the coffee slinger—we know very little about him beyond the type of coffee he brews. Nicaraguan. The brain trust believes he’s something of a threat, though Nicaraguan coffee is notoriously finicky to prepare. If this coffee slinger was anyone, we’d already know of him, no? Though, for as little faith as I put in those patrons, it at least makes sense that Mr. Mayne might get tangled up in Nicaraguan beans. #26 is looking into why one might want to pursue Mr. Manye as a customer, but hopefully, we can serve him first.</span>
