Incidentally, following Satan's death, Vile City's fallen under control of 'Zach Rannagom', an independent (for now) city-state outside of Niam Astcer's authority. So they should probably hurry up before it gets obliterated in one war or another.</span>

I’ve received word from my darling husband that Nine was recently spotted just outside of the Vile City. If Fate was still alive, I’d say this was a work of predestination. Though, I fear it is just the consequence of an all-too-small Universe. I couldn’t begin to guess what business Nine could have in the havoc of Pandemonium, though we can probably catch up with him in the city by the time we get there. I suppose it’s possible that he is seeking some sort of status in the city, though I couldn’t begin to imagine why he would need it either.

Speaking of statuses and the city, in the wake of the death of the Dark Prince, control of the city has gone back and forth quite a bit. Last I heard, Vile itself has broken off and formed its own sovereign territory free from the control of Niam Astcer. Of course, that puts us in an interesting bind, as Pandemonium would still very much be in Niam’s control, but if Nine has made it to the city, we’ll have to deal with Zach Rannagom. Not directly, I imagine. Running an independent Vile keeps one busy, especially if he is going to attempt and formerly secede from the Hauntaurskald.

Rannagom is not the worst possible monarch of the region, though it is worth keeping in mind for our purposes that he is a prominent member of the Kings of Roses. I’m not entirely sure if our dear and demented Rune would consider our presence in Rannagom’s city to be an act of aggression or not. So, it would be wise to keep a lower profile, yes? Regardless, I’d like at least one Shaka to join me—and anyone else who’d like to visit the city before it possibly is wiped off the map by Niam.</span>
