NOOOOOOO! Say it ain’t so, Miss Biscus! ALL our old receipts? Gone? Do you have any idea how much of my work just… vanished? What if, someday, someone wanted to look through our receipts in, like, an archive or something, and now all of my daring, sexy adventures won’t be there? Ah, damn it. Well, that’s life, I guess. Even if the record of my incredible deeds is gone, the actual work I did is still here. Actually… thinking back to some of our earlier cases… there was quite a bit of self-incrimination in those receipts. Things that could put me away for quite some time. Honestly, maybe it’s for the best they’re lost to the digital aether.

So! Sir. Ciel Flurrdo is down here in the States, huh? Figures. His mom’s always sending him or his sister to poke their Canadian noses into our freedom-loving business. Or maybe it’s his dad this time—if they’re even speaking right now. What a messy family. And don’t even get me started on their wine-aunt down in Mexico. She’s a piece of work! Glad she’s not on our radar at the moment. Do you think Sir. Flurrdo’s here on his own business? Doesn’t seem like him, honestly. His sister? Absolutely. Every other week. But… he’s not exactly the type to step down from his glimmering throne.

And you’re saying he’s here to sell fast food? Like, an actual, full-on fast-food operation? Employees, customers, the whole deal? That’s… bad. Hopefully, he’s just here on unrelated business, because I can’t see much of an Upside otherwise.

I’ll see what I can find out from here while you and Peppy poke around in Cali. Though I’ve got my hands full with something else, anyway—some majorly funky business going on down the line. Vanilla and I are on it. You think it could be… related?
