What a week. What a week, indeed. I must congratulate No. 6, 17, 35, 44A, and 62 on a well-served order. No. 6 and 17 were able to shut down the secret A23 based below the Hollywood sign taking out Lab A23Z-LAZP 01-13. Unfortunately, per KW’s letter, she would have been the only survivor of this horrid affair. It’s unclear how many test subjects they burned through, but if KW’s letter is anything to go off of, at least 3. One subject was given Asmodeus’ blood, one given a sample of Sableblood, and a third given a sample of regular Asmodian demon blood. I would be surprised if they showed enough restraint to stop there.

Additionally, it would seem that the Zulus are, at the very least, profiting off of the war in the Necropolis though they might be working directly with the Morbid King. I imagine the positive results of KW’s tests would have strengthened their resolve to aid the Morbid King in killing Asmodeus, if only for her blood. Still, we need to stay out of this war as much as we can. It’s not our fight, and we have bigger fish to fry. On the bright side, I doubt the Zulus would ever formally announce an alliance with anyone, let alone the Shadowfolk and their despot. So, while our meddling here certainly might have annoyed the Morbid King, there is little they can do about it.

Lastly, KW. Unfortunately, she did not make it. No. 17 has confirmed that she is dead. No. 6 let her family know, and a service will be held for Katherine on April 24th. Attendance is, of course, optional, though I would assume our newest employee, No. 512, will be there. She starts working on Friday, and I expect everyone will be more than happy to help her get up to speed. She is partially familiar with the coffee trade though her knowledge is, as she describes it, fuzzy at best. It comes and goes, but it’s a great base to work off of. I expect her to be a wonderful addition to our operations as she has truly undying optimism.
