Heyo… itsa me, 62. I figured I’d write this one off the record. I… know why No. 3 keeps looking back. It’s sorta stupid and probably not what No. 1313 wants to hear right now, or No. 3 for that matter. So, each time we get near that river near the big cave, uh, leafy or something, right? The water makes our memories start to fade. Not entirely, though, and certainly not enough to make us forget the whole “don’t look back” rule. Orpheus said if we actually drank from the river, we’d be a lot worse off, but the general vapors aren’t too bad. But… jeez… so, what’s happening is No. 1313 inevitably says something, and in the sort of hazy memory state, No. 3 thinks it’s… uh… well… Charlotte talking. No matter what, she has to look back to make sure it isn’t her. Always.

Now, yes, I guess Charlotte and No. 1313 sorta sound alike. Sorta. Through a memory-fuzzing fog, I could see it. But, it’s probably more so No. 3 having dated No. 1313… and then Charlotte. I’m guessing some wires are getting crossed up in her brain somewhere, and it keeps tricking her. So far, I don’t think No. 1313 has actually heard No. 3 call her Charlotte—thank God—but that’s only because No. 71 has been keeping her busy and out of earshot.

We all know that’s what’s been happening, No. 71, No. 26, and I. And… jeez… it’s hard. It’s really gotta suck to kick your girlfriend into the Black Tide, sealing her fate to that of an endless sleep with Eldritch Horrors. Charlotte totally deserved that, by the way, but… Eugh. That’s why I’m staying single. I don’t wanna know what horrible supernatural fate would befall a girlfriend of mine. Comes with the territory. We’re kinda hoping that No. 1313 will just… not talk one of these times, but, of course, she’s started specifically reminding everyone (No. 3) to not look back when we get to the leafy river so… Well, No. 26 is gonna try warping us past the river. Hopefully, that ends this horrible, awkward nightmare.
