A few months ago, the Mothman, Mrs. Pleasant, enacted some sort of disaster ritual to rip open a portal to the Ouroboros to bring a Death Worm/Wyrm to L.A. From the info we've been able to gather, this was an attempt by Padre Santos to create an Anathema Proxy. I suppose this would've been accomplished somehow by manipulating the roughshod approach of the Astoria 23rd Agency in, well, nuking the city to deal with the Death Wyrm. Though we are still unclear on what an Anathema Proxy is exactly or how they are created (if they are created), we were able to stop this plan of Padre Santos. Sort of.

We were doing our best to crack back open Mrs. Pleasant's original portal, but then Mrs. Middletown swooped in wikiwiki and dealt with the Death Wyrm for us. We aren't sure what exactly Mrs. Middletown did to the Death Wyrm, but to me, it looked like she used some sort of amulet or talisman to absorb the Wyrm. Not only that, but it also seems like Middletown and Pleasant are siblings or step-siblings, as Mrs. Middletown mentioned something about their shared dad. Of course, neither of them stuck around long after the Death Wyrm was defeated. After a few hours of checking and rechecking, we can confirm that whatever Mrs. Middletown did, it removed the Death Wyrm.

Now for the bad news… In our attempt to send Miss. Andrews home, we did manage to crack open the portal above the South Coast Plaza a good deal. The original plan was that the "gravity" of sending the Death Wyrm back through the portal would collapse it again. Of course, the Death Wyrm never went back through the portal. So now we have a supermassive crack in the boundary lines right above Bullock's. Due to the position of the crack, it's more or less linked up to every plane of the Otherside. It should heal on its own, and we can try to mend it, but in the meantime, we should prepare for a large influx of new customers.</span>
