Killin' Protodemons? To save our Joy? You know I can't say no to that. I reckon it'd be nice to have a bit of a challenge again after all that pitiful trash me an' Ned took out in the Hauntaur'. I'm startin' to worry I'm gettin' rusty. If'n ya' ain't challengin' yourself, you ain't doin' yourself any favors, that's for sure. Besides, I ain't never had the chance to kill a Protodemon, what have you. Now, obviously, if we can get in and get Joy out without any unnecessary bloodshed, that'd be ideal and all.

But it ain't fun, is it?

Now, I know Sahir's still gotta meet with his connections, and Aelan's gotta grab her little army of beasties before we can head out. Plus, Hepburn's takin' the lead with this rescue mission. Thank the Poultry for that one. If Myerscough'd have this one, I know he'd be likely to screw it up somehow. 'Sides as much as I've been soured to the Agency, having their backin' on somethin' like this is probably a good thing.

Could we handle some Protodemons on our own? Almost certainly. Yes, I realize we could hardly contain an evil Elder-making fountain in the past. But that was before Eden popped back into existence, and Protodemons were rarer than rain in a desert. Now that we've got a Plane full of 'em, there ain't no harm in just shooting 'em. But could we handle Eve on our own? Eh, probably not. Though, that's what Sahir'll hopefully be takin' care of for us. At least as I understand it. The Serpent and the Angel like to be coy about these kinds of things, but I'm pretty good at readin' between the lines. Assumin' Lilith doesn't kill him or nothing; she should be able to draw Eve's attention for us long enough to grab Joy and get the hell outta Dodge.
