Right, well, I’m getting bloody nowhere with this 8 business. As it turns out, it’s really hard to reassemble something broken into billionths of pieces. Doesn’t help that the thing seems to have a mind of its own, and as far as it’s concerned, I’m the one who broke it in the first place. So, we might as well give saving Joy a shot. Nothing better to do besides sitting on our hands, waiting for everyone else to get here anyway. Plus, the kid’s right, Daichi, is quite familiar with the Black Thorn. We can be in and out, no problem.

Well, no, there are the Protodemons and Eve to worry about. Plus, any Elders that have managed to stir themselves from the Black Tide. But, come on, we’re the Cafe and Diner! If not in name in spirit, choice? And could you imagine Jules’ stupid demon face if we showed up in the Otherside with Joy? I bet he’d be kicking himself for centuries over that one. And he always said I’m a reckless mess. At least I didn’t try to blot out the light of Heaven to steal some crummy sky.

Oh. Hang on a tick. That’s why he did all that, isn’t it? Land, sea, sky… oh. Oh! Right. That actually might not be such a bad idea. His execution was sorely lacking, but I think I see what the big guy was getting at. If the Caelus is returned to Eden, that might be a way to get Joy out of her crystal without causing a supermassive Blight implosion. Makes me feel a bit ridiculous for trying to get the 8 back to do it. Then again, I’m still alive. Well, we can worry about putting skies back later. For now, we can just grab Joy and bring her back here and then worry about how to get her unstuck.
