We were able to successfully locate Ursula and Magdalena using No. IV’s “special tome.” Though… I have a sneaking suspicion it’s the exact same book that the rest of his Society uses. Having now tapped into No. IV’s powers directly. I think I know who he is. But, of course, his secret is safe with me. Though I do wonder who else knows it’s him… it might just be No. I, II, and V. Mm… well, regardless, like I said, we were able to pin down the exact location of both Ursula and Magdalena. They’re both in the Necropolis deep within the Everdark Pits.

So, that confirms our worst fears. The Morbid King most likely got to Ursula before we could. Though, that doesn’t do much to explain the fire. There is a chance she did parish in the fire, though it would do little to explain why she ended up so far into the Everdark Pits. Unless our signals got a bit mixed up in the scrying, lumping Magdalena and Ursula together. I suppose I wouldn’t say with 100% certainty that they’re both in the Pits, but I am confident they’re both in the Necropolis.

While this is somewhat bad news, I think there’s a silver lining in all of this. The TriCaD has been working on alternative plans should Ursula and Magdalena both be under the Morbid King’s imprisonment or service. The stones only need to be in the same relative plane to work. I think we can still perform the ritual so long as Ursula and Magdalena are close enough to the rest of the stones. Of course, there’s still the problem of them using the stones. Even if Morbid let them keep their stones, which I doubt he would, they wouldn’t know to focus their energy simultaneously. We still need to work out the problems… but it’s at least a path forward!
