I fear the Astorians are playing it too safe. In an ideal situation, we would take down Padre’s followers one by one, starting with Miss. Janos. However, we are far from an ideal situation—we’re teetering on the brink of apocalypse. I’d argue that taking them down one by one might pose a greater risk than tackling them all at once. If we can’t pay their tabs in full, it will give them time to regroup and mount an offense of their own. Though I doubt anyone needs reminding, El Coco, the first Boogieman, commands legions of Boogiemen.

Given the circumstances, I’ve conferred with No. 5 and No. 6, and we’ve agreed to handle the logistics of taking down Padre’s new trio together. No. 6 will focus on paying Miss. Fitch’s tab, while No. 5 will handle Miss. Cece. We’ll likely need to pull employees from other locations, though we’re still working out the finer details of who we’ll need and where. I fear we can’t afford to settle for a “half-success” this time.

As I understand it, No. 3 will oversee the return of the Black Tide tomorrow—assuming that goes well, we can start figuring out who will help where. If it goes poorly, there won’t be much point in worrying about Janos, Fitch, and Cece anyway. I’ve also been in touch with No. 116, who has conveyed parts of our plans to Padre’s old trio, Mrs. Pleasant and Mrs. Aka. I’m uncertain if they’ll play a role in serving his new trio, but we do have Umbra on our side now as well.
