So, I can’t be the only one thinking the Dark has been a bit too quiet lately, right? I guess maybe they’re still recovering from last month, though I figured Umbra would make a move for the Grimoire by now. Or, like, at least make a villainous speech or whatever about how he is so much better than us and how he’ll be taking it in a matter of time. But, no, nothing. And Jules texted me this morning to confirm, still no sign of the Dark over on the west coast. Something is up. Something is coming.

So to our knowledge, the Dark still has the Dark Triad, obviously, and then also probably Mare and Flanders, right? Unless either of them decided to book it after last month. Though Flanders doesn’t strike me as the easily spooked type and Mare... Ahhhh, I don’t know. I’m not sure what her vibe is, to be honest. I’m not sure what she’s getting out of being with the Dark. If I had to take a wild guess, I’d say she’s been bound to Umbra like Aka was. If not that, then maybe Umbra promised her something. Though I’m not sure what a hag-like her could possibly want. And we know Flanders is just working with them to pay off some sort of debt he owes to Umbra. Not sure if this debt is a lifetime employment type deal or if Flanders will be leaving as soon as possible.

In any case, despite the Dark being a bit quieter than usual, Umbra must be working on refilling out his ranks. By this point, we know he likes to keep between 8-13 members at all times. So we need to be ready for whatever or whoever comes next. It might be the case that Umbra already found some replacements and is waiting for one of the new members of the Dark to make a move against us. The element of surprise or whatever. Well, not much we can do about that. And by this point, Umbra probably knows every member of the other Cafe, too, so no surprises there. Hm. There’s not much that can really catch him off guard, but I think that’s what it will take to put an end to him once and for all. Or, you know, as much of an end as we can put to him. I’ll keep trying to think outside of the box. In the meantime, we’ll regroup officially once Jules is back.</span>
