If I wasn't dedicated to this job, would I really have just warped around the Santa Lucia mountains for the past five hours looking for signs of a weirdo in a gas mask? Yeah, I didn't think so. Plus, I also have weird warping powers these days. And with weird warping powers probably comes weird warping responsibilities—like looking for weird smelly gasses in the mountains. Speaking of, I did manage to find this weird… "funk" stuff that 4121 saw in her astral form. We are calling it "funk," right? Based on 1313's poem thingy? Also, major props to 11411 for narrowing down the spot pretty accurately based only on 4121's descriptions. If 4121 tried to describe to me what she had for breakfast, I probably wouldn't be able to tell you what it was.

The weirdest thing is that this yellowy gas stuff was still physically here a whole day later. It must be denser than air as it's pretty low to the ground, and it hasn't really dispersed yet either. It's definitely a gas, but when I poked at it with a stick (peak science), it moved around more like a liquid would? It's also darker at the, I don't know, like core? At the core, it's a really, really dark blackish-yellowish color. I guess I'd describe it as a stygian yellow? Like, it looks like an impossible color. It's clearly yellow, but it's also way darker than any black I've ever seen. And when I poked at the core with a stick, I couldn't even pass through it, almost like it was solid. Oh, and the smell! It's like some sort of burning acid rotten eggs. I had multiple masks on, and I could still smell it. It was enough to make my eyes water.

The good news is that I was able to scoop it up into a jar. I'm bringing it back to the Cafe so someone else can poke at it with a stick for a bit. Maybe someone who is better at poking at things with sticks than I am. Interestingly enough, when I sealed the stygian core in the jar, the remaining lighter yellow gas did finally disperse. So I'm guessing this darker part is what is exuding the gas. It might also be some sort of solid entity left behind by Masoch? Whatever this stuff is, it sure is... funky.</span>
