We really do need to fix the windows, eh? There’s a lot about this old church that could use some sprucing up. Probably some sanctifying too. Though we were able to “capture” our new customer, or should I say customers, the brothers Inn. Yes, it was less-so magic than it was a classic case of two identical magic ravens in our Cafe. And, I would say these ravens are certainly Otherworldly in nature. Though interestingly, they come from a mythology we have yet to see. As far as I can tell, we have been visited by Huginn and Muninn—Odin’s very own thoughts and memories.

Of course, the existence of Mr. Inn all but confirms the existence of Miss. Wednesday, somewhere out in the Otherworld. This broadens our understanding of what can come from such a place. Though Norse mythology could be somewhat close to Celtic/Welsh mythology, I would have to argue they are still rather distinct. And, as with the other Others, no, that doesn’t sound right, mm, perhaps we can call them what they are then, Myths. As with the other Myths, Huginn and Muninn are very much as you would expect them to be.

The two birds have been gifted with extraordinary levels of speech, and one holds Odin’s memories while the other holds Odin’s thoughts. In a sense, Odin, wherever he may be, is able to send out Huginn and Muninn to learn things Odin otherwise wouldn’t know about. Of course, there is the ever-present risk that his mind simply wouldn’t return to him, no? After all, for as clever as these birds are… they couldn’t figure out a way out of the Cafe once we blocked the windows. While we did have a very pleasant chat with the birds and sent them on their way, we can only assume that Odin sent them to spy on the Cafe or possibly on their other avian friend, Miss. Bad. </span>
