Ladybugs. Ladybugs are Mrs. Lludd’s least favorite bug. It took a lot of trial and error, but crushed up ladybug’s in a water solution is what kills them. Although, much like Mrs. Kay, they don’t “die-die,” but they sort of just burst into light. Lucky me, we have a few extra test subjects to prove this hypothesis.

I have to address the central question: Is it inhumane to kill these creatures repeatedly? Hard to say. The way I see it is they are free to leave the Cafe before I spray them with bug water. But, if they stick around, then they are graciously giving up their lives for the cause of science. Or is it pseudoscience? Magic? I’m not sure. If it is in any way more science than magic, I’d guess it has to do with the red pigment in their chitin. However, it could just be more myth-y magic-y nonsense like Sir. Kay’s aluminum shield. Right now, I have no idea how any of this Otherworld stuff works.

And like I said before, the Lludd’s don’t just die; they burst into some sort of energy. I’ve taken thermal scans of it, and it’s hot but no hotter than like a light-bulb bursting. The heat also dissipates very quickly, and there doesn’t seem to be any noticeable traces that they were here. Now that’s interesting because it means they aren’t conserving matter. Maybe they don’t have ordinary matter? I mean, you kill a demon or cryptid even in the Flipside, and there’s something left over. You kill an Otherbeing, and it’s just... poof! Gone. A possibility is that their matter returns to the Otherworld... and if that is the case, perhaps the Otherworld exists in a higher dimension. Maybe it looks like the matter is disappearing, but perhaps it is just moving from 3D to 4D so we can no longer see it? I’m not sure. I need to do more research, especially into some already established Otherside phenomena where matter just doesn’t exist while also existing. Assuming the Otherworld is somehow connected to the Ouroboros, it’s probably best to figure things out from a place we somewhat understand first.
