Thank God bafflement is not one of the seven deadly sins, as I would hate to be an Anathema twice over. Still, how in the holiest of hells did S.V. from the CND not only take on the Dark Triad but walk away alive and with the Mothman in critical condition? I must have missed some important connection somewhere because that shouldn’t be possible. Even if all of us went up against the Dark Triad, I doubt we would come away victorious. Well, I’m sure the Owner would have some scheme up his sleeve to save the day, but still.

Moreover, was it only S.V. who challenged the Redman, Hatman, and Mothman? No, it couldn’t be, could it? Surely, it must have been a combined effort of the CND. I suppose that must speak to the power one or more of them have kept hidden away from my searching. I should look on the bright side, I suppose; if I already knew everything about everyone, I fear I would die of boredom. Maybe it only gets under my skin because of the brazen nature of their copying of our personal aesthetic.

In any case, while we were already treating the Cafe No Diner as cautious friends, perhaps we need to consider bumping them up to the coveted status of our best friends—right alongside the Open Doors Church. Though, as a friend of a friend, it might make the most sense to try and get on the CND’s good side. We can always be at each other’s throats once Satan gets the hell out of our Flipside. And if they are not only willing to take on Satan’s cronies directly—but also apparently rather successful at it—their help might be worth the potential trouble in the end.</span>
