Ugh. I forgot how much I truly hate Umbra. He’s such a slimy, self-serving dick. The Manager and I used a water-breathing sigil to go retrieve the Locket from the wreckage of the Half Moon while the Big Guy and H.R. kept watch from the shore. Of course, by the time we got to the ship, Umbra was already there waiting with the Locket in hand. I’m not entirely sure which parts of what he said were lies or the sincere truth, but I am pretty sure he’s putting something sinister together.

[Umbra dangled the Everebon Locket by its chain. With a roll of his shadowy fingers, the Locket rusted then fell apart, drifting away in the Atlantic’s current.]

Umbra: Repetition is a sign of insanity, you know. It is a shame. With the Locket destroyed poor Charlotte has no way home. Not that a beast like her has any home to return to. Now—with the Locket destroyed, I believe you have no further reason to interfere—
