Weed killer… how strange. Such a terrifying creature… a massive duplicating snail… undone by, what was it? Mecoprop? Synthetic auxin which causes weeds to grow out of control, leading to their unsustainable death. We only tried it out of curiosity based on the Long Island branch's success. We have been throwing everything else at this beast with no luck… but simple weed killer? That is all it takes? To upend a mighty protodemon? Even one that was not plant-like on the surface? How strange. How very, very strange.<br />

As our protodemon, the horribly unwieldily named Mrs. Seugnitsah, was melting into a similar black ooze, it spoke to us. The wretched thing. It cried out in a deep, gravelly voice, something along the lines of "What more did you want from me? I can only cut myself so thin for you." Hm. That is… unsettling. However, I do not know why Seugnitsah thought we wanted it to split itself into multiple copies, causing untold chaos in poor, sleepy Astoria. Thankfully, most of the residents here work for the Agency or have a family member there, so we didn't have to do much cover-up work.<br />

Also—as No. 611 mentioned—a puff of black spores followed the death of our protodemon. <i>"Death."</i> In my opinion, we are not killing these creatures. It can't be that easy. Moreover, they turn into a black liquid, which is not unlike sableblood. I think, if anything, we have found a way to disrupt their given forms. The Agency has naturally collected as much of the protodemon's remains as they were able to, and Divisions Juliett through Sierra will be looking into it. I suppose Ampersand will be as well, though none of us have any idea what this might be. Perhaps our latest dubious hire would have some ideas?</span></div>Ducklord
