The only good news is that the weather should start stabilizing now.</span>

			Mr. Tormenta, the Acalica, is dead.

			We finally managed to open the lantern and pour out the fluid, but once we did the Acalica’s body… just sort of… frosted over, and he died. I’m not sure if he was… you know, aware, or anything, but it looked like he was in pain. I really wish we could have saved him, but I suspect that once he was submerged in the fluid, there was nothing we could have done to save him. He was just used as a tool to cause chaos and uncertainty in the name of worsening the Satanic Panic sweeping over Long Beach.

			While we have no direct evidence tying this to the Open Doors Church, Mr. White confirmed that a Fairy Lantern was stolen from his cursed wares after the Mothman stalled his helicopter. Additionally, #62’s tests reveal that the solution the Acalica was submerged in contained primarily Eugenol with traces of Indigo Carmine, Cinnabar, Saltpeter, and Silver Nitrate. If you had to guess what the Mothman stole from the trains he derailed, you’d be right to guess those five chemicals. It seems like Eugenol acted as a base, and the other four ingredients somehow drew out the Acalica’s weather powers.

			If there is a bright side to any of this, it’s that the weather should start to rapidly stabilize. Additionally, #17 was able to return the Fairy Lantern to Mr. White, so I guess that crosses off another of his artifacts. Or re-crosses off, anyway. I’m not sure what we should do with the Acalica’s body… I’m not sure if burying it would be the right thing to do or if we should find a way to return it to the Otherside. For now, I think we should place it outside among the Toyons and Mule Fats.</span>
