Throughout the history of the Cafe and Diner, many code words have been used for the planes of the Otherside and beyond. In the First Cafe, using hours of the day was common to represent planes. In the Second Cafe, breakfast foods (with a weird fixation on eggs) were typically used. It was not until the brilliant mind of No. 161 (previously Employee 4121) came up with the idea of naming locations after drinks.

The original drink menu of the Third Cafe consisted only of the seven classical planes of the Otherside. There was, White Tea, Hot Chocolate, Red Tea, Electric Daisy, Green Tea, Ice Water, and Black Tea representing Morningstar, Infernus, Hauntaurskald, Ouroboros, Esterskald, Mayda, and the Necropolis/Amaymon, respectively.

The drink menu would later be updated after the Cafe Crisis to get all of the employees on the same page and to incorporate the new planes of the Otherworld and beyond. The new Drink menu can be broken into four categories: Otherside, Otherside Cusps, Otherworld, and just plain Other.
