Ugh. Has anyone else been unable to sleep lately, or is it just me? It’s not just the caffeine either, though it probably doesn’t help. I’ve just been having these horrible vivid nightmares. Usually, I’m pretty in tune with my dreams, but lately, they just feel so… foreign… yet also deeply familiar. These are nightmares based on my deepest insecurities and fears. It all feels too… orchestrated. Maybe I really have just been hitting the coffee too hard lately. Or… maybe these nightmares are more sinister in nature.

And, of course, only one customer comes to my mind when dreams go dark. Mrs. Umbra. <b><i>Ugh.</b></i> I really hate dealing with Mrs. Umbra. I was really hoping we had seen the last of her with the shuttering of the Open Doors Church. Not that her tab was ever paid in full, but her main reason for hanging around Long Beach was put out of business. But I guess with my new status, it might’ve drawn her in. I guess reopening the Cafe always had the possibility of attracting old customers. That, or whatever she was up to with Mrs. Aka, brought them back to Long Beach. Though… Marocchino would’ve… mm. Maybe she just hasn’t mentioned it yet.

Anyway… I’ll look into it. If Mrs. Umbra is back in Long Beach, we’ll make sure she gets her coffee and leaves. If anyone else has weird dreams or sleep paralysis, let me know. Unfortunately, our main protection against Mrs. Umbra is currently a heap of ash out in the middle of nowhere. Mm… maybe the ashes could still work… Well, let’s hope it doesn’t come to that. Maybe I’m just having some bad luck with my dreams. Or maybe I just have too much on my mind right now.</span>
