I think I just got our first taste of… what was it again? Comfort food? I think that's the right term for it. Though I'd hardly call this meal a comforting one. It was a sludgy, thick, ink-black treacle. Umbra. I suppose that shouldn't really surprise anyone. He is the reason we even opened this Cafe in the first place.

Payroll has had me keep an eye on the… I guess "night shift?" Sure! Night shift. While it's something that technically any of us could do, she felt I had the best chance of success with it. Payroll's never really liked working the night shift, the Manager may be a bit too… "explosive(?)" for night shift work, and Big Guy's more attuned to working in the daytime. Thanks to my less-than-normal childhood, I have had plenty of time to get acquainted with the night! And it's a good thing, too, because just as Payroll suspected, Umbra tends to show up during the night shift more often than in the daytime.

I didn't get the clearest sense of what Umbra wanted to order—but it was well after I had locked it up. The Cafe, that is. But I could see that he was thirsty… he was practically begging to be fully submerged. Now, I didn't get anything else super specific beyond his thirst and that it was after I locked up… but if it's what I think it is… then it should still be right around Miami, yeah? Thanks to the currents and stuff, it could be farther out, but it's gotta be around where Umbra made his last big order with the Third Cafe. Do you think he could bring back his friend with it? Or—do you think he'd try to pull the same plan twice?
