After some deliberations and thorough vetting by Payroll to ensure we can afford to take on another employee… we've decided to hire Loveland on as our New Guy! Of course, he'll need some training on general Cafe Protocol; he'll also need to get set up on Big Guy's old CaDCom. It may be a bad idea… but I think the Manager should be the one to train him. I know, I know… it's questionable if the Manager really knows what's going on with the Cafe, but I think he's starting to get it. Plus, maybe having someone else to mentor will help him realize the position he's in. I have full… erm, mostly full faith in him!

Having the New Guy on our staff may be a bit of a risk. Between tourists, the Dark, and Levi, he… draws a certain attention, yeah? For tourists, we can work out a way to glamor up his uniform a bit to help him blend in better. For the Dark, we weren't planning on letting them get to him anyway, but we'll just have to make sure we can keep him nice and safe. And… as for Levi… well, that's a bit trickier. New Guy "escaped" from Levi's care, and he may come looking for him. Not directly, but he could send out a few associates to retrieve him. I think it might be best to get Levi's blessing to watch after our New Guy. Easier said than done.

Eh, we can worry about all of that later. Having spoken with the Manager about it, I don't necessarily think the Coral Gardens would be the worst place for the New Guy to end up. Though he seems pretty hard-pressed to avoid it if he can. As for what the New Guy brings to the table, as mentioned earlier, he's quite the little polyglot! Plus, he's got a fairly extensive knowledge of customers from around his part of Canada. It's no replacement for the Big Guy's knowledge, but it's not nothing! And considering who Pleasant is trying to bring into the Dark… it may prove invaluable.
