Well, it seems like the eclipse wasn’t a total bust. I’ve gotten word that our Friends over at the Column are scrambling their eggs instead of serving them sunny side up. Over what? I have no clue. But it sounds like something… urgent has come up. And these scrambled eggs need an excess of their famous Salt and Pepper. I have a contact within the agency who I can try to reach out to see if they can fill me in on this hullabaloo. Of course, reaching them amidst all of this chaos will be tricky.

As for my contact, we actually went to middle school together back in the Silver State. We sort of fell out of touch when I moved down to Long Beach, though we really fell out of touch when they got scooped up by an A23 recruiter. At the time, I had no idea what even happened to them. But funny enough, that’s how we ended up reconnecting, as they saw my name in A23’s file on us, and they reached out. I’m hoping because they’re a pretty low stripe (practically as low as you can go) on the lighthouse, they haven’t been deployed to help with whatever this… urgent mess is.

I probably shouldn’t say who they are nor their agent name to protect their identity… and ours. It probably wouldn’t be good if our Friends learned they have one of our allies on their side. Well, “ally” is probably a stretch. I’d call them more of a neutral agent if anything. Not really for the Cafe, not entirely for Astoria either. I’m sure it’d lead to the swift Defeat of our Group. Well, here’s hoping I can convince them to grab a cup of coffee with me for old times.</span>
