It was another absolutely fine day in Skald, as it was more often than not. Everything was... fine. The sky was a fine, rich shade of deep blue, the towering dark pines of the Utopic forest were fine, and the deep, endless waters of its massive lake were fine as well. Abraxas was the only thing that was, perhaps, less than fine.

Abraxas stood alone in a small clearing within his boundless pine barrens in the early hours of the Skald's morning. His long black hair was tied back in a loose ponytail, and the bags beneath his eyes were on the verge of becoming too heavy for the Archon to hold. It had been another late night, as it always seemed to be for Abraxas. His muscles were sore and ached with each movement. He couldn't remember the last time he had felt this tired. Or this old.

Abraxas' days were spent tending to his forest, ensuring every corner of his wooded expanse was humming along in harmony. Everything was as close to perfect as it could possibly be. His nights, however, were spent toiling away with the theoretical or otherwise acting once again as a vassal to the son of Kaos. It had been a few hundred years since Abraxas left Entropy with his prince and their friend Eve, yet in all that time he had yet to make a single change to his gifted Utopia—the Skald. As such, his Skald remained perfect. Stagnant, of course. But perfect.

And why should Abraxas mess with perfection haphazardly? Skald, after all, had all that one could want in a paradise. Its vast forest stretched out for unending miles in every direction, and within it were thousands of lush green pine trees that towered high above the ground, providing ample shade from Skald's warm sun. Its singular lake was vast and deep, its waters cool and clear, and its beaches dotted with pure white sand. At the center of Skald was the only addition Abraxas had made thus far: a small wooden cabin which Abraxas had created with his own hands. Not with the powers of creation the three young Archons had stolen—his own two hands.

If Abraxas could have his way, he would build every house in Skald the same. To see the results of his labor was to see something better than perfection. Something beautiful. Something he alone could make. Something that could only ever exist in one way and one way alone. Abraxas took great pride in the fact that if he had to rebuild his home with nothing more than his bare hands and some old tools, he could. No need for power that was never his to have to begin with.

But there was only ever one Abraxas and so much Skald left to build. Though, for the first time in the hundreds of years Abraxas had spent in his cabin, he wasn't alone.</span>
