<b>Ugh.</b> I <i>hate</i> writing Diner Receipts. No. 3 still insists I show a little more "decorum" for anything public-facing, even <i>now</i>. I don’t get it. Realistically, you all know I type like a horrible little goblin. You see it all the time in my Cafe Receipts. Who’s going to read this that won’t also see those? Well… I guess No. 3 is thinking about opening an archive for the Patrons of the Cafe and Diner. She wanted to do something similar back in the Third Cafe, but we never had the time. I suppose it’s something she’s always felt should… "be."

Anyway, we’ve got a strange blank book that needs reading, and a strange (in a good way) newcomer to the Coffee Trade who I suspect <i>can</i> read it. Yep, it’s that simple. No. 1124 just has to read the book and—well—it’ll be read. They already had a cocktail of sorts stashed in the freezer at Brent’s nightmare shop, so… yeah, I think they’ll be able to read whatever the book says, even if it <i>looks</i> like it says nothing at all.

That’s the first rule of dipping your bar spoon into the murky world of mixology. Which, by the way, is <i>very</i> distinct from the more pedestrian hat tricks, thank you. Mixology is all in the mind. And maybe a bit in the Astral. The point is, just like how I managed to cheat my way into Second Sight, No. 1124 just has to cheat their way into reading this weird book. Look past the blank pages. Look past <i>everything.</i> Read like there’s something to read—and if there is, I’m sure they’ll find it.
