ALLOW ME TO GET THIS ALL VERY MUCH STRAIGHT! So, the Dark is an organization led by Umbra. He is a very scary, tall, shadowy man who always wears a very nice hat. He is accompanied by his very best buddies, Aka and Pleasant. Aka is an old and seasoned dancer with a very red suit and loves to play games, but only the games he can win. And Pleasant, he is a very, very, VERY, old customer who is powerful and well-connected, especially around the lower upper half of Ottawa. And together, they have an organization known as the Dark, and they have been hiring people to work for them.

Among those who have been hired by them are Florida, Stronsay, and Thyrs. I suppose Aplut is now in the process of being hired as well. Okay. Florida is a small guy who is local to here. Stronsay and Thyrs are customers who are as old or older than Pleasant, but both have been served, more or less, and Aplut is… well, you see, Aplut isn’t even a thing yet! Aplut is still a figment who Umbra needs to find a place to put to bring them in.

GOSH!! It is so very, yes VERY, confusing to keep track of who or what is even in Umbra’s “Dark.” Especially when he is so very flippant about killing them off or allowing them to be imprisoned. By my count, though, if everything had gone according to plan, there would have been Umbra, Aka, Pleasant, Florida, Stronsay, Thyrs, and Aplut. That is, yes, that is seven. You would think he would try to get eight because it seems to be a very special number—OH! YES! AND VISAYAS! How could I forget Visayas? I suppose she was rather forgettable, wasn’t she? But, then, that is eight, yes? Or, it was meant to be eight. I wonder, with Visayas, Stronsay, and Thyrs now gone, if Umbra will try to fill those slots with three new customers?
